Are you a seasoned finance professional with a passion for public service? The City of Hailey, Idaho is seeking a City Treasurer to lead and manage our Finance Department with integrity, expertise, and innovation.
As a key member of our leadership team, the City Treasurer serves as the custodian of all City funds, ensuring financial transparency, strategic budgeting, and fiscal accountability. Reporting directly to the City Administrator, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our community.
What You’ll Do
Oversee all City finance, accounting, auditing, and reporting functions.
Under the direction of the City Administrator, develop and manage the City’s annual budget.
Lead City banking, cash management, investments, and debt policies.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with all regulations.
Provide expert financial support to all City departments.
Safeguard City assets with strong internal controls and fraud prevention measures.

Proven experience in budget planning, accounting, and financial management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
At least 3 years of professional finance or budget planning experience and 3 years of accounting/bookkeeping.
Experience with Caselle software is a plus!
Ability to pass a background check.
